amiga keyboard to pc
« on: April 03, 2006, 03:01:53 PM »
i think it would be rather cool to hook up an amiga keyboard to a pc. the difference is quite obviously the connection to the motherboard though. i find it hard to believe that you could hook up an A Keyboard using USB lol. but could you somehow connect it to PS2 (i was going to say serial but i do not have a serial port on my FIS2R mobo). anyway to connect an A keyboard to PC then? or is this not do-able?

If you have an Infinitiv 1200 Keyboard you can use it without any adapter on the ps/2 connector of a pc. You would just need a new keymap for windows.

@ Amigakit,

I've already ordered an Amiga Keyrah from your company and I made a note asking about the 8 bit Keyrah for an old Vic-20 of mine.  I haven't received a reply to that questions, so I'll grab this opportunity to ask again:  Do you stock the 8 bit Keyrahs or are you expecting any in?

Cheers,

Thanks for that info.  I'll order the 8 bit one when they come in.  Please email me at my AOL account when they do.

Cheers,

The Keyrah is all very lovely an'all, but is there an equivalent for A4000 keyboards ?

I'd like to use me A4k kbd on the AmigaOne - either PS/2 or USB

It's because I served in the British Army (and with a type 57 Chieftain/Challenger Tank Regiment) and now I live in the USA.  That's a Challenger 2 in the picture which was introduced after I left.

I used to hold "Amiga club" meetings in the Mess on weekends when I was free.  Back in the 80's it seemed like 25% of the British Army either owned an Amiga or wanted one.  Cannon Fodder was a surprising favourite!  ;)
