I'm not going to answer to all of these questions you posted, but I would like to make my point regarding "classic gaming". I have many low -end Amiga models at my disposal, even my first Amiga, which is by the way A500Plus. I like it, yes but you just can't beat A1200 with CF-HD and 030/50Mhz setup playing WHDLoad games! You wouldn't have any comaptibility problems, because all WHD -games are made to run on ANY classic Amiga. For example old action game Stormy Swiv, which just couln't run on even stock KS2.04 equipped A500 Plus machine. But it run flawlessly on my AGA A1200 computer, ofcourse it's installed to run with WHDLoad. Just pay for registration to author and you're there. It's like a good dream, trust me!
