You can get an mSATA to ide 44 pin adaptor. I also found a SATA to ide 133 adaptor that can have SATA on the motherboard or the other way around.

Having real good luck with mSATA and M.2 drives on the PC side, and they are nice and small enough to fit inside a Miggy.  Curious what kind of speeds you'd get out of an IDE adapter, though.

Built a new gaming PC about a month ago with dual M.2 Corsair 500 GB SSD drives over PCIe adaptors (Asus Hyper M.2 X4) and am getting a solid gig read speeds over a RAID 0 setup.  These things really haul ass, lol.

On Amiga the bottle neck is the computer itself, no worries!

Sounds sweet.

About 2 months ago I shoehorned an AMD A8 6600 with an HD6670 for dual graphics into a low profile slimline case using a PCIe ribbon cable. Bioshock infinite runs at just under 30FPS with Ultra settings at 1680X1050. Wish I could afford to add a larger SSD (got a 120GB boot drive). Currently all my games run of a Western Digital Caviar 2TB SATA  HDD. Still, it's damn quick when one considers that the total setup cost me about £320 with 8GB of HyperX Savage DDR3 RAM. I got rather lucky with my shopping.

In the UK that's about the same price as your 2 SSD's go for. Guess I'll be waiting a while for those solid gig reads your getting.

Hmmm... My Original hard modded XBox likes what you are saying. Guess I know where that 120GB SSD will be going when I do get around to upgrading it.

Yes, the bus architecture of your computer hardware will limit the xfer rate. But the seek times on SSD are much lower, plus there are no moving parts and it's cool and silent.

You can get these mSATA to 44pin PATA adapters that look like a 2.5" HDD so you can mount them into slots intended for a 2.5" drive, like in a PowerBook G4 or Mac mini G4.

I've got an SSD in my XBox 360, and boy oh boy, it's the best thing I've even done for that old rustbucket.  Makes a world of difference.
