X-Surf + Kickflash to autoboot?
« on: August 18, 2008, 08:34:33 AM »
Is it possible to use the Kickflash for activate the IDE-ports on the X-Surf upon boot?
Anyone tried this combination? Successfully?

If you can put XsurfIDE in the kickflash ROM, I can see no reason why it shouldn't be possible to autoboot from an IDE harddisk connected to the Xsurf.
I don't have a harddisk connected to my X-surf, so I can't test it.

Lloyd

The XSurfIDE Module is RomTag-able and runs nicely from within the flashrom. I didn't specifically try it on a KickFlash, but on a Romulus at that time and AFAIR this worked for booting off the X-Surf IDE.
