'060 Blizz scsi setup
« on: February 23, 2006, 03:51:38 AM »
Got a day off tomorrow, and I'm planning on switching my A2000 SCSI controller from the A2091 to the Blizzard cards onboard controller. Before doing that, does anyone with experience with the Phase 5 card have any words of wisdom, or any tips to help make the transition less problematic?  Best to all...Art

Blizzard 2040/2060 SCSI controller has on-board active termination.
It can be set as auto-detecting (best choice), on, or off.
You can set a jumper on it to force synchronous transfer.
You can use UnitControl tool or MyUnitControl tools (aminet) in order to boost speed close to theoretical 10MBs per second, providing that your SCSI hard drive can reach it.
http://amiga.resource.cx has a PDF copy of the manual, so have a read and see how to setup all of the, or most of the above-mentioned stuff.

Good luck. :-)
