BOMAC tower case for A2000 (inside view)

Description: Inside view of the BOMAC tower case for the Amiga 2000.  Manufactured in the USA. The whole side of the BOMAC case opens on a piano-hinge to reveal this view.  You can see how the whole lower half of the A2000's original chassis drops into this larger tower case.

This view also reveals the many drive bays and two power supplies (original A2000 and PC supply for drives).

This thing is so heavy, I seen small cars that wiegh less  ;-) .  Wouldn't want to have to pay Ebay shipping for this!  I got it from a seller fairly local to me.

The BOMAC tower has bays for eight drives.  If fully stocked this will stress the original power supply.  The PC power supply can handle the power needs for all the extra drives, leaving your Amiga free to power main drives and internal cards.

Also, if you are running extra drives for storing video, CD-burners, etc. you can shut these off seperately from the Amiga when not doing that type of work (thereby reducing wear-and-tear on these drives, fan noise, and your electricity bill).

My A2000 also came with a power supply like that. But why do you need two of them? Surely one should be more than enough...

I don't know if it's the original one that came with the A2000 (I bought this second hand).  However, it's AN Amiga 2000 power supply (rather than a modified PC one)....and it looks roughly the same as the power supply in my other A2000 (maybe more perforations).
