Hi,
Now knowing (well i have known for a while, just my interest in getting my 040 to run faster is recent) that the old Macs use to have 040's running at 66Mhz i am eager to try my 040@50Mhz.

Cheers

I'm not aware of any Macs running at a "true" 66Mhz with a 68040.  Marketing promoted the fact that the internal speed was clock-doubled (much like a 486DX2) at 66MHz, but that would in reality be a 33MHz chip.

However, Sonnet at one point offered a 040 plug-in board overclocked at 50MHz, but it had a peltier cooler glued to the top.
