Screen modes gone?
« on: March 27, 2020, 07:08:23 PM »
Hi all
Dunno if anyone on here remembers me but i had ppc 1200 back in the day and recently decided to buy a mac mini G4 to install morph os just as a bit of a toy really.

Anyways i installed tvpaint and after using it when i switched the machine off and it rebooted it was running in a 640 screen mode and all monitor resolutions had vanished so i was unable to change it,just wondering if anyone can help me out as it's been a very long time since i used an Amiga like os.
Cheers

You need to select a moniotr type in prefs and that will dtermine which screenmodes are available. I struggled with this when I first got MorphOS too.

A1200 in DIY Tower. 3.2 ROMs (softkicking 3.2.2), OS 3.2.2 with ClassicWB, CF card, CD RW and IDE to SD adapter running off the internal IDE port (using the A4000 4-port IDE adapter from Amigakit), Pistorm 32 lite with Pi4/2GB/Emu68 or Blizzard 1230-IV, with 32MB 60ns RAM and 50MHz 68882 FPU. 3COM PCMCIA Network card running with Miami DX.
MorphOS on PowerMac G5 and ATI 9600 pro
