What, no "pancakes"? ;)

Seriously, if you have a case, then either go ahead instead of just talking, or don't do anything and shut up then as well. In either case, don't talk about it, until afterwards perhaps. A poll like this is strange, you will never get any sympathies for something lile this, especially not against A-eon, Hyperion, etc. They simply can't do anything wrong, hence they can't be blamed for anything, and anyone even suggesting otherwise will be lynched like a child molestor.

Look, cut your losses, sell the X1000 (if possible), and get a MorphOS system...

:)
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :)

Vox, maybe you could be more proactive in fixing your issues instead of retailiating. Maybe you could start a bounty or something similiar like the one on the home page for Odyssey Web Browser. I don't think using black mail is going to help you much here.

Whatever your grievances, a public forum is not the place to do it - especially when you're openly blackmailing one of the people held in the highest regard in the whole community.

Is probably a good few hundred X1000 users out there and so far only tiny minority have expressed that they aren't happy with their purchase.  As I understand A-Eon is responsible for driver development, anyone who knows anything at all about Trevor will be damn certain that he is putting every effort into supporting the X1000 now and future.

What's this Big Book stuff?  There hasn't been Amiga branded hardware that runs AmigaOS produced this century...

Pointlessly divisive comment.
Frankly I'm glad that I could care less about branding.

Unless you are deluded enough to think 68K Amigas are going to make a miraculous comeback from the dead, legacy hardware compatibility is a non issue.

These computers AmigaOne branded or whatever, deserve more respect then they get from the fan (atical) base.

This weird stuff is why I never ended up submitting all the pics and such on my OS4 machines, lol.  Good luck with your cause.

If you bought an X1000 or any next gen Amiga system instead of a Mac Pro, welp - not sure what to tell you.  Two different sports there entirely.

I'd agree in this case, especially as iirc all the features VOX was demanding (full MUI 4, better 3D drivers, system drivers, modern web browser, more regular OS updates and a port of ambient) are already all present and complete in MorphOS, and he wouldn't have had to saddle himself with a huge debt he cannot afford by getting a Mac Mini G4.  I'm with the majority, if you want these features now and are crippling yourself with debt, sell the X1000 (you could probably get back 90% of what you paid for it if you sell up before the X2000 comes along) and spend £100 on a mini with a MorphOS licence.

Really?  That's the list of his demands?  And a port of Ambient?  Ambient *is* MorphOS.  I don't think I could possibly facepalm any harder at this point.  :smack:

Mui 4 and Ambient were both mentioned in his original amigans.net rant yes. Honestly, at that point it just makes more sense to use MorphOS, I agree.
