You guys can use any of the songs on my band page in my Sig that you want.
Which reminds me: does Backbone have a special music format, or standard MOD, or what?

How about a nice, post-nuclear RPG? Sorry. Still having fallout withdrawal...

Actually, any new game development would be a win. I had a project I started and never finished. I kinda regret that now :(

We're working on an engine for that in our Sunday night/Monday morning chat sessions in the #AmigaE IRC chatroom on Freenode.  (Depending on the timezone.  According to GMT it's about 19:00 Sunday starting time.)

As for Backbone, it's for tile scrolling games mostly.

Whilst that would be fun I always liked the idea of post alien invasion. Aliens blow the crud out of earth (creating something similar to post-nuclear for the main part) and set up isolated domed-in cities that they send out hunting parties from (to keep us in line and for fun). You get the whole post apocalyptic thing and get to infiltrate alien cities, steal tech and blow them to hell to reclaim the earth for humanity. Now if the aliens consisted of a coalition of races that each set up different cities and treat us in different ways, we get in-fighting between them (great for storyline, some could even have been opposed to the invasion) as well as different graphical/tech styles in each city.

Even better if the invasion happened in the Victorian era as alien tech + Victorian tech = steampunk goodness...... ....ahhh. I guess we all have our dream games.

Ooh, reminds me of this idea I once had for a River City Ransom-style brawler set in a steampunkey Journey to the Center of the Earth-type setting...

I always thought something using some of the characters from the Eric Schwartz animations would have been cool. A platformer maybe.

A turn based (topview like Battle Isle) horror survival game set in an abandonned and desolated urban hell, with undead walking in the streets, waiting for fresh meat...

Anyway, good luck with your projects Cammy ! :)

I like it, and drwho's idea too. I'm sure Eric would be up for it.

Wonder Boy-Esque, side scrolling, RPG,  adventures are where it's at!!

And I am not referring to the original Wonder Boy, I wasn't a huge fan of that. I'm thinking more Monster Land...

I've made all of these games into custom VC's for my Wii btw! ;)

After something like that, my vote would go to something along the lines of Midnight Resistance for sure!

Coming back to this thread, it seems that run-'n-gun is definitely the most popular option, but rather than a sidescroller (because lord, there are plenty of those in the homebrew community,) it might be fun to do an 8-way walkaround shooter along the lines of Alien Syndrome...
