Hi folks...
We've read a lot about what happened a few days ago with Chris H. I think this is a really BIG loss as Chris in my opinion is one of the best developers left in the Amiga "scene". This is even more sad considering the rest of developers who gave him support like Piru (a great developer too) and decided to leave. I just sent a support email to Chris and I'm pretty sure that if we as users show him some support, he might reconsider his decision because simply, we can't afford this.
Just my two cents,
Dragster.
-
yeah I sent support mail to Chris...
-
What? Piru has left as well? Come on, this joke is not funny anymore! :getmad:
-
Yeah, me too. Come on Chris, we're not all trolls. Some of us actually buy your stuff :-)
-
How do I get his email?
is it in the Poseiden Package? can you post it here for easier access?
-
Yeah is in Poseidon pack..look in readMe file!

Just a small clarification, I've given up my AOS developments years ago already (for example the BlizKick final release was made without even having any real Amiga HW set up).
My Amiga SW page will probably reappear soon.
Just to make this absolutely clear: Yes, I am continuing my work on MorphOS.

BUT in one way or another you are here and that is something we all appreciate :-)
-
Damn shame that we have lost another Amiga developer. What did I miss though. Is there a link to an incident somewhere, or has anyone written down what happened to cause Chris H. to walk away from Amiga development?
@Piru,
How is MorphOS doing these days? Are there still many developers working on it? Is there anything you can tell us about hardware for MorphOS for the future. I want to install the MOS on PowerUP on one of my A4000Ts that has a CyberStorm 604e @233mHz within the next two weeks as I get sorted out more. Is MOS on PowerUP still free? I liked what little I have seen of MorphOS and I am thinking that maybe I would like to compare it to AmigaOS 4.0, but I am not sure I really want to buy AmigaOS4.0 from anyone after reading some of the crap that has gone on in the past.

Yes but seeing your site vanishing without a comment (only with "Bye" on it) looked like a "never look back" bye. Good to have you still around.
-
I think its childish for someone to quit like that.
-
OK, false alarm, this thread wasn't about me...

It was quite funny, though! :-D
bye! :boohoo:

Piru
really glad to here you are continuing with Mos and you are not taking your knowledge with you
-
Probably stated earlier too: drama queens.
-
Yeah! Lets all send condescending emails begging him not to go :roll:

Yeah if someone wants to leave then they
made up their mind looooooong ago. I don't think
it takes a few flame fests to just quit, it's something
that has been growing on him for a couple of years.
Bye then.

I've got a better idea, let's start a petition over at PetitionOnline!
-
Gee, I can't understand why people are so sensitive.
Who gives a frog's fat ar*e if some dweeb doesn't appreciate your work?
Get over it! :crazy:

@zyphoid
I agree, I use his work everyday, but I didn't sent my email because of that, I sent it 'cause I feel the community is losing a valuable person and a valuable programmer, one of those that really do something to keep the platform, somehow, "alive"... at least, with some hope.. Well, I just hope he reconsiders his decision, I'm 100% sure most people appreciate his work and won't like see him really go.
Cheers

@Keropi
I just did... I'm not posting exactly what he said, but it's actually not good news :-(
EDIT:
He just replied someone in the Highway_usb mailing list...
