A600GS & A1200NG / Re: A600GS Updates
« Last post by Rusty Breadbin on September 05, 2026, 03:32:44 AM »
So I installed the latest update, and everything is pretty much back to how it was before the .1529 update.
Elevator Action in ECS mode runs at 49/50 fps as it used to, and everything else appear to be running as it should.
And I like the dynamic USB mount, as I'm constantly forgetting to plug my USB drive in before going into ClassicWB/AmiBerry.

Now if only there was an option to temporarily disable the DB9 rest on holding the button down, that is really the only reason I use my Playstation with DB9 converter plug, so I can play Outrun Amiga Edition with the setup I want.

Now, just something I discovered while using the Web Browser, when I click on the A600GS or the Amiga.org buttons, this was the screen I was greeted with:

Hey guys, throwing an idea out there.

What if I made a full Spider-Man: Brand New Day game to put inside the Spidey Tracker app, inspired by the movie? A little pixel art Spider-Man moving between the game cards, with levels inspired by scenes from the film, all integrated into the tracker interface.

What do you guys think? Would you like it?

Let me know!

Sounds like fun, :)

A600GS & A1200NG / Re: A600GS Updates
« Last post by amigakit on September 04, 2026, 11:43:30 AM »
The following software updates for the A600GS and  A1200NG have been uploaded through the in-built live update system.  They are available to download for all registered AmiSphere users:

46.2.1536 (04.09.2026):

AmiBench:
Add support for dynamic mounting of USB sticks. Flash drives can now be hot plugged on AmiBench.

A600GS:
Add support for dynamically mount USB sticks in AmiBench and custom full systems where Add USB Drives is enabled.

USB sticks are now mounted with their label name is found or as USBDrive0 : etc up to 8 drives can be mounted at anyone time.

USB sticks can now be hotplugged as you would expect on a modern OS. Cacheing is set to write through so no data is lost unless removed whilst writing a file.

SystemV46:
Add Licensed copy of LHA version 40 by  Thomas Richter. Many thanks to Thomas Richter for allowing us to include this essential piece of software for our users!

AmiBerry:
Fix sdl_render_thread being disabled for wrong target hardware.

46.2.1529 (30.08.2026):

Add support for auto configuring external USB audio devices.

Add support for AHI recording, configurable through main GUI and in AHI prefs. Allows recording from USB or Bluetooth sound cards and also recording of system output via loopback monitors.

Fix race condition bug in DB9 handling that could cause a hang on shutdown, particularly on faster machines.

Add DB9 hard reset, hold DB9 fire button down for 20 seconds to trigger a hard shutdown. For use in rare cases when a crash causes the main menu to lock up.

Add new option to choose between GUI sound profiles for wigdet clicks etc
Current options are "Floppy Drive" and "Soft Retro"

Add new scoring system. Titles can now be allocated 0 to 5 stars by the user to rate them. A new filter allows to show only rated titles sorted higher score first.
Internal changes preparing for forthcoming A1200GS board.

General Internet News / Re: E-UAE WIP4 running on Sony PSP

Well spent most of latter end of week on JIT.
I now realise although its working. Its slow due to me working around the x86 code.
So I am now altering code based on allegrex mips assumptions instead of x86.

Started with unified registers. That instantly showed CPU usage drop, so will continue working on it tonight and the weekend, hopefully I can get the speed out of it I have been after.

Amiga.org Discussion and Site Feedback / Re: Cert expired a month ago
« Last post by F0LLETT on September 03, 2026, 09:32:31 AM »
I have been told there are issues, with cert. Trying to sort now, apparently, cert will not issue.

@kolla, it is in the root. I should know, I setup server. However, I never setup landing page or altered how forum is presented.
Out of my control. Anyway plans are in motion to setup on a new server, that will automate all this. Did the same with my own site and I have not had to touch it in 2 years. Issues certs automatically, so never ever have this type of issue.

I try my best, but can only do so much without having access to the domains themselves.

Or rather… site owner could get their act together and use one certificate for all their amiga.org shenanigans and not need to maintain a handfull of extra certs. Oh, and move this forum to the root of the site.

The announcement said that various things had come up fairly late on. This was the third venue and the second proposed date,so he thought it best not to postpone.
Hopefully, it can take place next year
