That's great news! Too bad there are no purchasable PPC accellerators left in the world.
- Doc

A4000D, A3640 OC-36.3MHz, custom tower, Mediator A4000D. Diamond Banshee 16M, Indivision AGA 4000, GVP HC+8.

Mac Mini 1.5GHz, that might run MorphOS someday, when the fools who own it come to the realization that 30 minutes just isn\'t enough time to play with it enough to decide whether or not you like it enough to cough up $200.

 - Someone please design SOME kind of DIY accelerator for the A4000. :D -

Same for Grex PCI bridges which seem to be a requirement. I've got my CSPPC in my A3000d which will become towerized if I ever have time to finish it, and I also have an A4000T to choose from. All I can find are A1200 Grexes anywhere on web stores, if they even have those in stock. I was given a hint to look up ggsdata for A4000 model Grex, but all I see there is A1200 version.

Oh well, I'll just have to continue my Morph-less existence. Not a big deal, but I was curious to see it...

@billt:

Try this page and search for "Grex".

Ah, thanks. I hadn't found it on the first pages of the menu button sections, and hadn't noticed the categories off that first page of each. Still took me a few minutes to find the english version of your link.

Still looks like I can't use it anyway, the description only says A4000d, which I don't have. Any chance this thing could work in an A3000d or Quikpak A4000T? Item description doesn't mention that.

If one of you tries this and has the ability to make a video please do so.. but dont make it blurry or half arsed if you know what I mean.  Also some boot up times, performance stats etc...  MOS absoloutely rocks on a Pegasos..so I'd love to read about someone running it on a PPC classic.

Nope, isn't gonna work. The 4000D is only suitable for the 4000 Desktop, there has never been (to my knowledge) a 3000 version. There was a 4000T version but I believe to have read somewhere that only 12 of these were ever made. If you want a GRex you will need a 1200 or 4000D....

Then you must be looking the wrong places. Some often pops up on Amibench, others on AmigaWorld, and plenty more on ebay. At least I know they are there, because I have advertised some myself :-)

Did you set the protection of all files to RWED?
Sometimes after copying the files from CD onto HD the files have only the R flag set.

Same thing happened to me. You need to put copies of your 680x0-libraries (68040.library 68060.library and so on) in CDH0:libs
Use resetlevel 5

Works great for me :) now, if I just just get some sound from my DelfinaPlus.... and perhaps some interesting software running, like a TCP/IP stack...
