Welcome from the dark side Maria. :-)

This is indeed excellent news for PowerUP board owners.

The first readily available Amiga compatible OS that actually runs on their hardware.

NOTE TO ELBOX
Please release MorphOS drivers for the FastATA and the Mediator.

I really need to download this =)

Please ELBOX, release the SharkPPC to give us Classic-user's more power for the MorphOs (I hope MorphOs will support the Shark?)

Yes, i think it's very interesting... I downloaded the ISO and perhaps i will give it a try tomorrow, but i doubt i will install it for real (on harddrive), better stick to AOS3.9 on my A1200 so that i can use PAL applications.

(no AOS-MOS flamewar please... i just saw that this news led to flamewars and a locked edited thread on another forum)

Why not make a Dualboot system? And you can also use both AmigaOS and MorphOS on one partition.
AMIGA 1200 | Vampire 1200 II | 128 MB RAM | Indivision AGA Mk3 | 256 GB SD | AmigaOS 3.2.2
AMIGA 600 | Vampire 600 II | 128 MB RAM | Indivision ECS Mk3 | 256 GB SD | AmigaOS 3.2.2

Thats above my head i'm afraid... :-( I don't even know how that works on Classic Amigas - because there is no Grub or Lilo likeish boot software i assume? Or is it controlled by holding diffrent mousebutton/keyboard combinations at boot?

MOST interesting!!!  I throw my voice in with the others begging for Mediator support.  Once that's in, I'll have this puppy up and running in no time :)

@Maria

You can always choose boot partition from early startup menu or use boot menu programs from Aminet.

Support for some zorro cards may be nice too:
Picasso4, CV64 and CV3D are enough fast I think

Prometheus support may be nice too

I have a mediator4000Di and it would be great that Elbox supported it...

Nice move indeed!

This will be my first OS PPC native on Amiga, afterall.

I thought that it could have been "another one" but . . . pity.

That's great news! Too bad there are no purchasable PPC accellerators left in the world.

A4000D, A3640 OC-36.3MHz, custom tower, Mediator A4000D. Diamond Banshee 16M, Indivision AGA 4000, GVP HC+8.

Mac Mini 1.5GHz, that might run MorphOS someday, when the fools who own it come to the realization that 30 minutes just isn\'t enough time to play with it enough to decide whether or not you like it enough to cough up $200.

 - Someone please design SOME kind of DIY accelerator for the A4000. :D -
