And what's that eerie blue moon glow coming out of the front of that A2000?

Weekends are tough for me, but I could probably do Dec. 7, if that works better for everyone? Bigbronc, what do you say?

Oh, and that blue glow is my A2000, I put blue lights in the front and the back, eventually I'll probably put more but that's what I've got for now. Geeze, I really wish I had more time to work on this! Here's a couple other pics.

Aye! I'm on for the 17th. If I have time to get my Thylacine working by then I can do a demo of USB on a classic system. Otherwise I'm looking forward to bringing a bunch of spare parts and getting one of your A2000's working again for ya. :)

Hopefully Motrucker can come and bring a MorphOS system? It's been 10 years since I've seen it, would love to see how it's progressed since then.

Edit - I've also cross-posted a link to this thread over on Amibay. If anyone else would like to post about it on other Amiga forums I'd say feel free! :)

I presume you have a 1084 or other NTSC monitor for us to connect to but I'll be bringing an external scandoubler just in case.

Yup!  How many do you need?  I know he's got a few up there already, and I can bring a couple more... I seem to find myself tripping over 1084's, if anybody needs one?  LOL.  ;)

All - Is there a possibility of building an ECS A2000 tonight? (woah...)

So I "might have" gone a little bit overboard with loading up my truck, I've got about six extra boxes of parts including an Extra A2000 motherboard with ECS Agnus and 2.0 ROM, a GVP HC8, etc.  Would love to mix in my spares with @bigbronc's stuff and build a good working system for him.  Bring coffee, it might be a late night! :drink:

PS - I plan on leaving work at 5:00, it's about a 1.5 hour drive, so hopefully will be there by 6:30.  See you guys!  :D

Had a great time last night, thanks again to @Bigbronc for hosting, and for everyone who came out!

I snapped a few photos with my phone:

1 - I might have brought "a few" extra boxes of supplies, just in case!  ;)

2 - Garyg's A4000D with Mediator in tower chassis

3 - Paul and Garyg working on the A4000

4 - My A2000 next to Paul's A1 X1000

5 - Madshib joined us via Google Hangout

6 - The A4000/Mediator setup receives a new video card

7 - Pulled this A2000 apart down to the board, for cleaning and rebuild

8 - A1 X1000.  This machine was silky smooth and fast, sorry I didn't bet better pics of it!

9 - Bigbronc watching the A2000 reload it's OS - after putting it all back together we gave it a fresh install of OS2.1, AsimCDFS, and Toaster software.

10 - Toaster is live!  :hammer:

Plenty of interest, but lack of any sort of central meeting space and time always seem to get in the way.  :(

Perhaps, but i think you hosted meetings a few years ago and I and Paul Sadlik attended.

We had a few up at Bigbronc's house.  Good times, seems like a million years ago, now.  :(

I'm looking for someone to recap my capacitors, and would pay them.

Not sure if anyone local does this.  Maybe blakespot could recommend someone?

Yes, and no.  I've been up in the NoVa area (specifically up in Ashburn near Dulles International) for about 5 years now, but no, I haven't owned or played with Amigas for years.

Ha!  You're more in my neck of the woods - I'm in Gainesville/Manassas area now, but pass by Dulles every couple weeks or so.  Love the Udvar-Hazy museum.  :)

We gotta get all these Maryland folks down here for a change, one of these days.  ;)
