FastATA Mk5 and CD32 games
« on: August 21, 2020, 11:42:50 AM »
I've had Amigas and CD32s since 1992, and the setup I'm running now since the late 90's, but it's only now I'm wondering if there's an easy way to play CD32 games with a FastATA.

Unlike earlier setups I had where there was some form of CD32 emulator to get CD32 games running on an A1200 with CD drive, there's nothing that comes with the FastATA.

Is there anything available to get CD32 games running on the FastATA?

The biggest issue issue I forsee if I do find something is that most games will no doubt not run with my Blizzard PPC/060 card, so I expect I'll have to disable the card, thus ending up with an A1200 with floppy and CD drive mounted and the lack of memory issues that will no doubt cause...
* Power Towered rev 1B A1200, OS3.9,  Blizzard PPC 160 / 68060, BVision, 256mb Fast RAM, FastATA Mk5, 160gb hard drive, DVDRW drive, BenQ BL912 19" monitor.

* Rev 1B A1200, Blizzard 1230 Mk IV, 96Mb Fast RAM, SCSI, IDE to SD and 16Gb SD card.

* As new, standard rev 2B A1200 Amiga Technologies Magic pack, proper Commodore era Mitsumi D357T2 floppy drive.

* Sadly neglected CD32 & FMV card.

You can configure the CD32Emulator from IDEFix to use your device.
