It would be nice if a North American distributor could get some of these, so I could avoid that atrocious taxation.

Most half-decent TVs and Monitors can display PAL and NTSC just fine. Ever since TFT/LCD TVs i've never had issues with one of them not being able to display PAL/NTSC.

That doesn't seem to be the case in NTSC-land.  Even some high end Samsung and Sharp displays sold here don't handle PAL signals.  I'm sure the hardware is capable, but the firmware just doesn't allow it.

The reason the machines are opened is so that Petro could install limited edition toenail clippings in each one.

I don't think anyone really doubts that, but there is some confusion about whether or not you are able to get more from the same source.
You could sell many more I think, even at a higher price.

I also do not like the way you have constantly been on petros case over this, this guy who has basically done many of us a massive favour when he could have just not given a s**t about the amiga community.

So exchanging musty old computers for money is philanthropy now?
What an abused lot "the amiga community" must be for that to be considered a favour.
