ZZ9000 causing Z2 or Z3 cards not to be seen in Card Diagnostics
« on: November 16, 2023, 02:51:47 AM »
So after my misfortune with a Cybervision 64 card starting to play me up, I pulled out a ZZ9000 card I had in storage to try instead. On installing and booting up I can get a picture showing the Kickstart screen etc…

No this is where the issues arise. On early start up ( 2 mouse buttons) and looking at the Board Diagnostics. There is no ZZ9000 board showing. So guessing here it doesn’t use Auto config. But when I add cards like a X-surf100 or a Gofaster RAM card with the ZZ9000 they do not work. Again Board Diagnostics does not show these cards.

I have downloaded the latest Firmware from the mnt website (V1.13 for Z3) and have copied it into the 128MB SD card. But still no dice.

Anyone any ideas on this?

Interesting, mine autoconfigs fine in A4000/A3660, X-Surf/RapidRoad, FastATA.

Thanks for the confirmation. I’m thinking the culprit here is indeed the Apollo 4040 card causing mischief. I’ve been pulling my hair out for the last month with this setup 😳🤔😞

Going to place in my slowwww 030 to check and confirm.

Okay so got a Mk1 Cyberstorm and now things are better. ZZ9000 detected as it should.
