I am surprised to see this kickstarter.

There are already numerous Amiga boards, internationals or nationals.
There are already marketplaces, including Amibay.
I am curious to see what might be Technical Support. Is Commodore back with David Pleasance to assume warranty on the hardware?
The other stuff listed is puzzling.

As in Amibay, I dont see the need for this, especially at an upfront cost, not just donations?

Regards

Barry

Really pleased you got it working.

I'd love to discover why changing the Ram configuration allowed a load of things to start working, when it seems like some assigns weren't being applied, we may never know.

If you have a way of getting new files onto your Amiga from the Internet, download Snoopdos and run it when you find something doesn't work. It's a really great app to show you what is failing like a missing file, or a path (or you might find it's already installed somewhere).

Amiga OS / Re: AmigaOS 3.2 problems

By "potentially faulty," I mean the issue of my computer not booting correctly because the hard drive will suddenly spawn a DH0.1 and a DH1.1 alongside DH0 and DH1 when I install the 3.2 roms, and goes back to normal (just DH0 and DH1) when I reinstall the 3.0 roms. I've upgraded WB roms in the past (1.2 to 1.3 to 2.04 in my old Amiga 500), and that never happened before.

Hotfix release.

https://retream.itch.io/als

v1.102 and v2.6 (08.06.2023)
* Fixed ALS_SET_PLANES_POINTERS_IN_COPPERLIST[] (due to a typo, it contained a division by 65535 instead of 65536).
* Optimized inner loops of ALS_BUILD_COPPERLIST[], ALS_BUILD_COPPERLIST_HEAD[] and ALS_SET_PLANES_POINTERS_IN_COPPERLIST[] (replaced Repeat...Until with a more efficient While...Wend).
* Improved a paragraph in the sprites section of the manual.

I'm sure I've got a dead mouse with a ball in it.

I'll have a look tomorrow in my box of bits.

It's time for a laser upgrade kit from  Amigastore.eu surely?

Amiga Marketplace / WANTED: 25mm mouse ball for an Amiga 500 Tank Mouse

My delightful dog Red has destroyed my Amiga mouse ball! Does anyone have a spare they would be willing to sell, or even a place to recommend where I might be able to purchase one?

Thank you in advance,
Ernie

Thank you ever so much for the replies!

I finally got a a reply from the seller,  bit of back and forth but got a result.

Simple as switching my recently acquired marpet 1207 to 4mb instead of the 8meg it was set to. Couldn't find definite instructions on jumper settings so guestested it and found a set up that works and now pretty much all games load - though some cd32 ones seem to be loading for a long time ... a very long time so not sure they're actually loading.

Anyway, thank you everyone! I'm happy to be playing my favs again on a true machine.

I doubt the 3.2 ROM is faulty.

It's rather the 3.0 ROM you have which hides a hardware issue from you.

Welcome back to the Amiga!

Sorry that your first experiences with the CF card aren't great. I see from your flag icon you are in the UK, so there are plenty of laws which are on the side of the consumer.

Try Amiga Heaven for help. If that comes to nothing put in a claim for a refund via the payment method you used, or the selling channel e.g. eBay. Just because you have installed the card doesn't void the sellers legal obligations to sell something fit for purpose or which should meet the description. At worst you then have a free CF card that you can set up from scratch.

Are you actually booting from this card, or are you booting from another hard disk?
