it ain't great in my experience. the QEMU PPC emulator used is very slow. that said, it's better than nothing and is a nice way to use an existing PC to test AOS4. i wouldn't use it as my only next-gen amiga, but when i'm on the road away from my X5000 and peg2 it is useful as a backup so i can use things like digital universe, for example.

the best step-by-step guide i ever found was from thomas rapp. i'm not sure if the amiga forever version of UAE is sufficiently different to make his instructions not as useful, but i'd still recommend you look through it:

that, and the ability to support more than 128MB of memory -- although i don't know if the issue is with the OS itself or a limitation of the cyberstorm ppc emulation in UAE itself.
