Description: I just installed a new 40x40x20mm fan on the PPC. Now I finally have OS4 running on a Cyberstorm!

Yeah, I was actually thinking it would be a great idea to get such a device for my A4000 too. It would be great if you could monitor how warm the PPC CPU get to, I know you can mount sensors near the die but how accurate would they be?

The heatsink was removed and cleaned for fitting of the new fan. The heatsink compound was replaced at that time. The new fan has the RPM output available at the connector. I'll be installing a controller such as the "Fan Master SF-609" to alert me if it fails.

Check if there is any thermal compound under the heatsink. Mine did not have any. Put some Arctic silver 5 under it.
