Im very interested in building my own. Is there any chance you could share the schematics?

@ motorollin,

The PS2 keyboard connects to - strangely enough - the PS2 socket!

The adapter on the other hand, connects to the keyboard header on the motherboard via the 4-way connector with three wires.  It is intended for an A500, but it'll work on any other Amiga having a keyboard connector, or the 4-way header can be removed and the three wires (data, clock & reset) soldered directly to U34 (IIRC) on the A600 & A1200.

What does the PS/2 keyboard connect to? I can't see any kind of Amiga keyboard connector on there.

No - one PS2 for the mouse & one PS2 for the keyboard.

I've never played Settlers - but if it provides mouse support in the joystick port, then I don't see why a second mouse adapter can't be added for port 2.

Perhaps someone with a better understanding of the Amiga's hardware can answer that one. ;-)

Does it give you two ps2 mouse outputs ? Must be great for settlers

It's based on the PS2M and IBMkey2.6 designs.

Unfortunately I don't have the facilities to create a PCB so I've adapted the schematics for copper strip board (keeps cost down though!).

Minor changes include disconnection of 5V supply from the mouse port, both circuits fed from same 'external' supply (5V from AT PSU), through connector added for 2nd joystick, installed ceramic resonator (instead of RC network) in mouse circuit.

I'll post a schematic if you (or anyone else) is interested.

Good hack!

Is the same schematics found on Aminet?

I want to do the very same to my unfinished A1200 tower!
