This design has been superseded by Megadrive256:

I have made a few to sell, and make a few from time to time.

Are the floppy emulators available for purchase?

Currently the floppy is emulated in ReadOnly, so if validation requires Write access to media, it'll fail.

Other than that, the emulated floppy behaves just like real one.

I like it, this was something I was looking for sometime back and the only thing I found was a disk that you plugged a CF card into and it was already a defunct product.

Does it do all the trackdisk stuff like how would it go if say the OS tried to validate the disk?  :-)

You should mount it in a mini Walker case that has suction cup feets. :-)

Props to you tnt23.  It looks really like a pro-job on that circuit board.  I'd like to do something like that eventually.  You have some great skills.

Great project!!

Great work! You should adjust it be used with closed case, anyhow.

Typical ADF mounting time is 35 seconds. Virtual floppy access speed is around 20-21 kbytes per second.

Thank you. There probably will be an update to this design, with bug fixed, piezo speaker, different memory, and able to accomodate SD cards. Now it only allows for MMC cards to be used. I failed to found universal SD/MMC connectors, cheap and available less than in 2 months.

A couple of devices will be built for my fellow Amiga users to test, then we'll see :-)

The user interface was built around 2 buttons, the only two spare MCU pins I've got back then. In this prototype 4 buttons available, but I still use 2 of them. Left button lets you scroll through items (menus, files in the list, options), and right button is for selecting.

What, where, when, HOW MUCH!!!
Congratulations!
I've been watching the progress for some time now and I'm very proud of what you have achieved!
Is there a chance that you might provide sometime TO US this perfect piece of hardware?

P.S. By the way, how do you browse through the Menu? with the 4 buttons in the lower part of the PCB?
