Description: Current provisional setup, B/W composite Amiga output is displayed on DScaler handled overlay through video-in of TV-tuner card. At least PC is good enough for something, like serving resources Amiga operations.
Yamaha CDRW connected to external SCSI port of A530. Device is recognized by both HDInstTools and HDToolBox, only CDFS missing (still evaluating best option for 030-powered system).

I'm pretty sure Dscaler removes flicker as default behaviour. If you have LCD, it will sync to that Vsync of your desktop since Dscaler uses DirectDraw surface calls for overlay. That means 60-75Hz for LCD and 85-100Hz for CRT.

Belive me, I never thought about flickering under Dscaler since I+m assured signal source quality is a real issue. That was a composite output, which is pretty bad compared to S-VIDEO or RGB. There's no viable solution of overlaying RGB, so it leaves us with S-VIDEO.

I'm building such converter on my own, and actually belive it will enhance image quality which could be very close to a RGB image.

What are your dscaler options for configuration?. Seems that you got a flicker free screen.
Thanks in advance!!

I tried all combos - with and without loaded TCP/IP stacks, none works.

I would rule out TCP/IP stack here, since same problems arise with naked USB stack (Poseidon v4.2) active on single USB device (DLINK DUB-E100).

Problem source could be pinpointed in 2 possible areas: A530 or Poseidon USB.

Maybe some other A500 accelerator could be used to test if same happens again. I just found a guy in A1K forum who actually made that combo working on A500 with 040 accelerator.

cacheCDFS is fine. runs good on A1200/blizIV030scsi, A4000-030/ide, A500/A530scsi
hows your experience with the clockport and subway with the USB2lan adapter? genesis, amitcp, and miami all hit major slow downs in my A500/530 combo...
