darksun9210 Posts:1317 | July 11, 2008, 05:28:36 PM yup, one USB to LAN adapter working fine... well, it works fine, but there is an issue with the Poseidon USB stack as far as i can make out. Chris Hodges was kind enough to help me out, but the problem is, that the combination of USB2LAN, IP stack, USB stack, means that something somewhere is polling/interupting the CPU every millisecond. and that means a s-s-l-l-o-o-w-w machine. and transfer rates no better than a 56k modem. i had high hopes that poseidon 4.1 would fix it, and it is marginally better. but not actully usable. i read somewhere that it is something to do with the genesis IP stack that i'm using in OS3.9. i might have better luck with amitcp. so at the moment, its a small amusement in that it works, but it isn't in a usable state. as for the battery, it looks ok, but i might clip it off anyway :-) |
