Description: This first one's nice and plain, just showing off the nice menu. That's done with MagicMenu, of course. What you can't tell just by looking is that I'm actually running Scalos here. And, yes, that is the Amiga's pointer. Feel free to sling mud at me and call me a traitor for copying the Windows pointer.

@Speel

That's a photo I took out of my mum's window before I got my own place. Looks better when it's not reduced to 256 colours.

Why to people insist on using stupid mouse pointers!!! THe AmigaOS 2.0 is perfect. No other mousr pointer is required!!! :-x

Here's my mouse pointer.  I just wish I could use an 8bit + alpha or even 24bit + alpha pointer.

Cool shot though, I like the leaf pattern with that backdrop.

For most operations it's comparable in terms of performance to running Workbench. By "comparable", I mean "I'm f**ked if I can tell the difference!" :-D There's a rather nasty bug in the release I'm using here (1.2 I think, from an old Amiga Active CD), when you alter the menus the system hangs, other than that it's great. It's nice to have Newicons without running the hack, and MUI prefs programs (although I gather that's not to some people's taste ;-)).

I still use Scalos on my A1200 as well (I haven't posted shots from the real Miggy 'cause they just don't look as cool...). I started using it some time after OS3.5 came out, but I never had the money for a CD-ROM drive and a copy of the new OS (whereas I could transfer Scalos across on PC floppies.) So I stuck with Scalos and DOpus 4 :-)

Edit: Heh... er, you actually can tell it's Scalos, contrary to my description. The 'Scalos' menu sort of gives it away :-D

Scalos, eh? Haven't looked at it since I tried a demo ages ago. How does it handle?
