Title: Amy-ITX
Post by: blanning on March 06, 2021, 08:12:15 AM
What ever happened to this project?  Did they ever open-source the design?  I'd love to make one of these.

From shoe -

Hey guys!

Just a quick note as I've been quiet for a while. With everything that's going on I had to shift focus to more profitable things. As many of you already know the time spent on side projects like this rarely pays the rent. So for now all Amy related projects are on hold on my part. I cannot speak for MrA, but I got a distinct impression that he had a similar situation.

Truth be told the motivation behind my involvement in Amy back in 2011 was in no small part making an awesome design available to more than a handful of people. What we set out to do was done and today the Amiga-hobbyist market is literally overflowing with boards and projects. There's more "Re:Amigas" and DIY accelerators, graphics cards, NIC's and cool FPGA solutions than I can count. Hence the "need" for another (enhanced and simplified) Mini-ITX Amiga compatible system isn't really critical.

I won't make any guesses as to what happens down the line.

Take care, stay safe and AMIGA rULEz! <3

Shoe.  FWIW I applaud what you were able to achieve and hope someday you are able to continue with the project.  Yes the argument can easily be made that "who needs another Amiga clone project" but I disagree.  At this point in the game that seems to be all we have.  A collection of incredibly talented die-hard Amiga lovers who just want to keep a bit of the dream alive.  All the best to you and MrA.

I hope you don't mind but I would like to post the other working link for Ami-ITX https://amy.ikod.se/ (https://amy.ikod.se/) because the main one is gone. (or only found on Archive.org https://web.archive.org/web/20190126013646/http://www.amy-itx.com/ (https://web.archive.org/web/20190126013646/http://www.amy-itx.com/)

 The LAST AmiITX.
Can anyone help me out? I need a BOM for these.
Thanks.

I was lucky enough to get a set of these boards, but no BOM or chips.
If you know someone who still has the BOM It would go long way toward helping me.
Any clues about programming the glue chips would be awesome as well.

Hello Khayoz,
Question.  The link for the Amy Spellbound rev. 1.8 Technical Manual.gdoc is not longer valid.  If you still have the file could you repost it?

Thanks in advance
