@ clusteruk

Excelent work!  And very competitive pricing!

If I wasn't having two computers already, I would go for that one.

What is XP or linux performance on this board ? Can we install Macos x, just like minitab or eee pc ?

XP performance should be good, it is a Dual core 16ghz machine after all. Linux apparantly has issues but have not tried to install yet.

Dual system is a great advantage here.  Did you try Vista?  As for Linux, you definitely should check out xUbuntu.  This one is known to have fewest problems regarding hardware i.e. drivers stuff.  If it fails, maybe try some other leading distribution. Every system more on this board makes it even more powerful.

Not sure if Mac OS X.5 is distributed alone.
Was: Mac Mini PPC running MorphOS 2.4
Now: Amiga Forever 2010 with AmiKit and AmigaSYS
Not used: Icaros Desktop 1.2 (reason: no wifi)
Planned soon: an OS4 system
Shortly then: a MOS notebook (wifi is a must-have)

I did actually try to install UBuntu but it failed.

The system comes with a CD of drivers for XP and Vista.

Oh and I assume everybody realised I meant 1.6ghz not 16ghz ;-)

You need to do a hack to install Ubuntu, but other Linux distros work out of the box.

Not even a hack, just a simple BIOS reconfiguration:

IBM site states:

Ubuntu 8.04    2.6.24-16-generic
Need workaround to do OS installation
Need to disable LAN support in BIOS to install Operating System (OS)

Allright!
