Title: The was tennis but that was boring so now Amiga thread
Post by: A4000_Mad on June 23, 2008, 11:56:31 AM
Yeah I know that most tennis is just long winded, boring ping-pong

But these two guys Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer have made it worth watching for me :-)

So who's gonna win Wimbledon this year? Will the world No1 Federer make it an unpresidented 6 in a row? Or will the world No2 Nadal, having won the French Open 4 times in a row and been runner up to Federer in the last two Wimbledon finals, be victorious?

Nadal has improved greatly over the last year and followed up his French Open win by winning his first grass court event recently at Queen's in London. In winning that he beat the likes of the 6' 10" big serving Ivo Karlovic, Andy Roddick and the world No3 Novac Djokovic. I think this will certainly give Federer something extra to think about.

Federer has won 12 grand slam events and is chasing the record of 14 held by the great Pete Sampras. This time last year I thought Federer was easily going to win 19 or 20 grand slams. But with Nadal and Djokovic improving on all surfaces, it doesn't like it is going to be easy for him to equal or break Pete's record.

Rafa is a great guy and an amazing player, but I'm hoping Roger will win and go on to be the greatest player of all time :-)

Federer breezed through his first round match yesterday and Nadal plays today :-)

Novac Djokovic won't be disappointed at the surprise first round exits of Ivo Karlovic and David Nalbandian from his section of the draw. This makes it more likely that Federer will have to beat Djokovic in the semi and then find Nadal waiting for him in the final. Gulp!

Ich werde sagen das die deutsche fans bloodline und Speel hoffnen das Kiefer und Becker ihre erste runde spiele gewinnen wurden? ;-)

Yes, I've got a couple

7 X A4000 Desktop

3 X A1200 Towers

10 X A1200 Desktops

1 X A2000

2 X A1500

3 X A600

5 X A500 Plus

4 X A500

I was temporarily down to 6 X A4000's after seeing a wanted advert on Amibench and selling one to an A.Org member. It is because of meeting that member that I am here myself :-)

As well as the Amigas I have 5 X PC's, a laptop, a few Sega Megadrives, a Spectrum +3, a couple of C64's and a Nokia N95

How about yourself?

That's what my mate Justin always says ;-)

@ bloodline, Speel & adz

Those are great collections you've got. I've only ever seen photos of an A3000 and would like to get one some day.

If you guys had to give this thread a new title, what would it be?

So far I've thought of:-

1. The thread that doesn't know what it's about thread.

2. The was tennis but that was boring so now Amiga thread.

3. Who the hell cares what this threads title is!!

1 x Dual PII Machine
1 x Celeron 400 Machine
1 x Hanimex Model 666T-N TV Game

I really do need a clean up!

Lots of brains and muscles has to be a good thing!!! And I'm sure I could think of a few people who would like a big bone! ;-)
