I got an A3000 working again but I've got a number of issues.
1. It has KS 2.0, so I've ordered 3.1.
2. The computer had two SCSI drives, but would not boot (beyond a light gray/white screen) if the second drive had power. I moved the terminators off the second drive onto the first drive and removed the second drive entirely. The computer does not boot to the hard drive, but will boot to floppy now.
3. If I boot to workbench 1.3, I can't load HDToolBox because it cannot find asl.library. If I boot to workbench 3.9, I get disk errors when it tries to, I think, read asl.library (after hitting cancel after the disk error, the computer says that it cannot find asl.library).
So, I'm trying to figure out if:
1) does WB1.3 not contain asl.library?
2) Is wb3.9 so not compatible with KS2.0 that it would cause a read issue looking for asl.libary? Both the OS3.9 boot disk and the install disk give me same issue, except the track number message is different.
3) Is it just that the the old floppy drive has a problem?
