Everyone deserves a second chance in my view. AmigKit have hired another member of staff in the last year to help with communication, logistics and P&P. Even in the busy old days they came through for me in the end every time just with some delayed communication here and there. They are the real deal it's just we all rub each other up the wrong way/fail to live up to each others expectations sometimes when the market is growing (hence more enquiries/orders) but so to are the number of small cottage industry companies vying for our business. This creates tension e.g. Vampire vs PiStorm and RetroPassion vs AmigaKit. That's life but we shouldn't really question their integrity in striving for good customer service when the rubber hits the road. Choose your retailer (AmigaKit currently seems very reasonable with good quality of assembly) for the PiStorm32 and enjoy!

In the macro picture you're funding new development for our beloved platform and you're getting the latest and greatest. Also, when you purchase 3.2 you get access to most of the old ROMs which you can use/test/play with a Linux/Windows emulator.

All U.K. preorders of Pistorm32-lite have been assembled in house and sent out this week.  Most USA and Canadian orders have been fulfilled too

What was “before”? It doesn’t make any sense, why would it be faster with libs in rom rather than loading them from disk? And is FPU even involved in MIPS?

A couple things come to mind.

* For the A2000, try opening the case and pulling out any cards besides your 'SCSI card+hard drive'. Maybe one of the other cards is stopping the boot process. You can't hurt anything buy pulling out cards and doing a power up, just don't plug/unplug cards while the PC is powered on.
* Look for a label on the SCSI card, does it say anything like Commodore A2091, GVP HC, Trumpcard, ICD? This will help further down the line.
* When you say the A2000 turns on then off immediately, do you mean you see a Workbench screen or flashes of color? Screen colors are a built-in POST(PowerOnSelfTest) if you list the last color you see perhaps we can narrow down the boot problem.
* Depending on when you need your data you can pull the 'SCSI card+hard drive' and take it to the a Commodore club meeting or VCFED show. Someone there should be able to plug it in and tell you if it is good.
* If you're headed to Las Vegas anytime in the next 6 months, bring it along and I can test it for you.
