Title: Font editing
Post by: Spektro on January 11, 2022, 05:34:07 AM
Hello,

There was a font editor called ColorType on Cloanto's Personal Paint CD (PPaint version 7.1). Is it part of PPaint anymore?

It doesn't seem to be on my CD version of PPaint from A-Eon, at least.

Best regards,

Niels

I don’t know anout ColorType, but I have the Personal Suite CD which comes with Personal Paint and Personal Font Maker.
Anyhow, no, there’s no font editor coming with PPaint from A-EON.

ColorType and PersonalFontsMaker (PFM) are included on "The Kara Collection" CD. At least on the V3.0 edition from Cloanto.

That's what I suspected. Thanks Niels and kolla!

I have Personal Suite CD, too. Personal Fonts Maker is unstable under AmigaOS4 and it cannot be used. ColorType (https://aminet.net/package/gfx/edit/ColorType (https://aminet.net/package/gfx/edit/ColorType)) mostly works but it has issues under AmigaOS4 in the font requesters (doesn't list fonts) and with memory (out of memory when saving big fonts). I was hoping that A-EON would sell a bug fixed version for AmigaOS4.

ColorType is a really well made font editor. It would be nice to have a working version for AmigaOS4.
