Within Temptation & Metropole Orchestra 2/7/2008

Any Amigans been there? Loved the show, loved the ambiance. My first major gig in years (last one was an Iron Maiden concert at Brabanthallen when I was 16)

Did some gigs with an orchestra myself (I played bass) but I had to give up on that because I had wrist issues. Anyway, Loved the show, loved Ice Queen and the duet with Sharon and Anneke (from the Gathering)was just insane :angel:

Is it me or are old school Amigans metalheads? Or is it just the age  :-D  :devildance:

Last time I saw Within Temptation was at Parkpop some years back (2003/2004?), but then already their music wasn't my thing anymore. When I first saw them (Dynamo Open Air 1997) they just released their first album and they were almost completely unknown - back then I still liked it, it was more metal (Deep Within is still my favourite WT song, partly because George Oosthoek's grunts in the song) and less dreamy doomy gothic stuff...

Sigh... I miss DOA.... :cry: (1995 - best festival EVER)
