Still rockin' OctaMED, check out my stuff....
« on: March 20, 2007, 10:04:49 PM »
Alright y'all, thought you might be interested in what I'm up to, still using Octamed as my sequencer, albeit solely to control my hardware via MIDI. If you're into DJ Shadow, Mr Scruff, RJD2 ect I reckon you'll be into it...

I go by the name of 4teenth and this is my myspace

Ta!

EDIT: I flailed on the link, should work now...

Hmmm...

Is that link still valid?

Perhaps the problem is at my end...

Hi there,

Tried to write this a while ago but for some reason I couldn't post. Anyway, I just wanted to say how impressed I was with your tracks. Had a good listen, can definitely hear the Mr. Scruff influence (in a good way!). Anyway, was wondering if you could post what hardware you're using. Namely, what's your Amiga, how is it expanded, what midi interface do you use? Also, what synths, samplers, mixing desks and recording equipment do you use? And what software too? What version of Octamed? Just really interested! Love this stuff and especially where miggys are involved! And pictures would be amazing!

Nice! ;-)

I make similar stuff, but with an extra 40bpm on top. :-D

Though I don't use any miggy software at all.

Very cool music, and the fact you using amigas makes it even cooler!

Keep it up.

cool..i I loved octamed and protracker!

i use cubase now though!

yeah i would say from 150-190 bmp is about right for a tune :hammer:

but you can get away with 80-120 for rap and dance.

"Tone control" would sound nice with heavy drum and bass breakbeat

cheers. [PDX]

Ah, down-tempo, how I love the soul-soothing mistress she be!

Sound's great so far, keep it up.  Makes me want to get back to the OctaMED track I started a few years ago... needs flesh.

Cool to see people still using the mig for music. I too plan to get back to making music with the mig. It's funny to see my 1200 hooked up in my studio. Im really into lofi stuff, and once you hear a mig on a real monitor setup, you realize just how lofi this machine is heh.

I never got used to OctaMED though.. I'm from the old scene, I use protracker :)
