Mouse diagnostics?
« on: January 16, 2003, 05:13:12 PM »
Does anyone know how to diagnose a mouse port on a 2500?  I either have a dead mouse or dead port.  Actually I have either a dead mouse or dead ports on two different 2500,s

Maybe you could try it with some old 2-player game and joystick?

There's a good MUI based prog on Aminet called JoyTest.

It tests joysticks and mice in port 1 or 2.
So if you're not sure about your mouse, get a working joystick, and use that
program to test your computer.

Sounds like your mouse has died though.  Check continuity of all the wires from
the 9 way connector onto the PCB inside the mouse.
