What's the problem to get into your heads that the batteries used on motherboards are alkaline, not acidic? So cleaning is best to do with mild acid like diluted vinegar or lemon.

Well then, my method of putting the motherboard outside in the driveway and hosing it off for a few minutes with a nice stream of water should be just fine!
