Description: Showing the insides of my hacked A1000
The hacks include:
Kickstart ROM hack
Piggyback RAM hack inc 512k chip/512k fast RAM hack
Audio filter hack (not visible)
Daughterboard WOM removed
Aux power cable hack (for GVP HD8+ SCSI/RAM board)
NTSC to PAL board installed by Commodore for composite PAL colour

Gorgeous! I'm getting a 'new' (to me) A500 in a few days. Supposed to be pretty clean inside, but still, I hope its looks as good as this one!

Sweet!   I need to do some of that.

Can you tell me a bit about the kickstart rom & the piggy back you did?  What would I need to do that to my 1000?  And how much memory does that put it at?  1meg chip &  1meg fast?

I dunno if you're familiar with the A1000, but the audio filter can't be enabled/disabled by software unlike the A500 onwards.
By soldering a couple of jumpers to the audio chip below the power connector under the daughterboard (not Paula) the filter circuit is bypassed for higher audio output fidelity.
