3000D is super easy. http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1164

I wish they would make one of these adapters for my 3000T

I was considering that route with AmigaKit ATX adaptor, but which ATX power supply size wise will fit the Amiga?  Mini ATX?   and what about the power switch?

I repaired my A3000 PSU a few years ago, but it's probably not something for someone to attempt without previous repair experience. ;)

I believe there was just a thread on this a couple months ago.  Someone made a recommendation on a PSU that was supposed to fit.  Have you searched the forums?   Sorry, that's all I've got!  Good luck!

IIRC, the A3000D PS has an extra signal not common to other power supplies, even most of the other Amigas don't have it.  It is a 60 Hz AC signal (probably low voltage) that I believe was used for timing of the native video on the motherboard (maybe the FF?).  I can't remember.

Naturally, the Amigas date to a time before the 3.3 VDC power rail.

I imagine Amigakit is on top of all of this with their adapter.

Thank you all for your help.

I will certainly look at using an miniatx power supply.   seems the most wise solution.  Big Thank you!

AFAIK all Amiga PSUs (except for the A4000 PSU) provide a 50/60 Hz Tick signal. However, most (but not all) Amiga mobos have a jumper which selects the Tick or Video blank signal for the system (CIA) timer.

So you can use a generic PSU with these jumper select mobos. The catch is when you switch from NTSC/PAL or to exotic video modes like Super72 then your system timing gets messed up. Also, you can't disable the Video signal with RTG software.

FYI the A3000 has a jumper to generate TICK. Ive seen the Amigakit a3k adaptor withmicro atx psu working nicely !

Well I got A3000D  up and running.  thanks for all that helped, and the TICK advice was very helpfull.
I've even managed to install a nice new battery and clean the motherboard with some pcb cleaner.  Once I have the powers supply installed I may upload more pics.

Next job repairing A2000 from a leaked battery..  luckily i think she is repairable.

must be my lucky day,  changed the fuse inside the original power supply 1amp and its now working..  :)    I now stuck on to use original or use AtX duel voltage power supply.

Yeah...

I usually go check the fuse first.

Id use the original psu until it fails.. as the a3k case is designed for it specifically. Though like i said  a mini itx or micro atx sff psu fits nicely as well but leaves a square hole in the back.
