Post by: zpeakerz on May 30, 2003, 03:42:49 PM
I've just played Prins Of Persia on the new Siemens Mobile, and i thought back to the good old days, in witch i played the game on Amiga.

Anyone know if i can get the game as a Rom? If not then what can i do to get it? Where can i buy it? :-?

For a chance of getting a legal version, try Amibench (http://www.amibench.org/)

Download it from HERE (http://www.bhlegend.com/php/show.php3?game=514) or HERE (http://www.oldgames.org/download.php?id=186) or HERE (http://amigos.amiga.hu/ancientoys/gamefiles/PrinceofPersia.zip)

There's a version on a large site on the internet that claims to be legal - but I've no idea if it's "legal" abandonware or not.  Of course you'll still need either a real Amiga or an emulator, and the emulator will need a Kicstart ROM, and that certainly isn't abandonware.

If you don't have a real Amiga, I'd suggest getting Cloanto's Amiga Forever (http://www.cloanto.com/amiga/forever) - you get tons of ROMs, emulators, Amiga-PC networking software, a pre-configured workbench, help and more.

Sure he can get it on a  ROM. I know for a fact it was released for the Sega Genesis (have it) and I'm pretty sure it was released for the SNES too. :-)

Or maybe he ment CD-ROM

@ zpeakerz

1) It's Prince of Persia
2) ROM stands for Read Only Memory.  Meaning chips w/ software stored on them. The only Amiga ROM's are Kickstarts and various Autoconfigs on Zorro cards. Amiga disk images are not ROM's. Fora that matter, ROM dumps/images aren't ROM's anymore either.
