What is "Roadshow"
« on: November 27, 2003, 02:00:21 PM »
Hi,

Just reading one of the interviews (4th oct) and saw this:

Quote

_4pLaY_ -- Will the Roadshow version shippied with OS4 be a demo version?
Hans-JoergF -- No, Roadshow will be the full feature thing, PPC native and all.

I've seen roadshow mentioned a few times, but I don't quite know what it is!?

Enlightenment would be appreciated,.... so would an answer to my question ;-)

It's the new built-from-the-ground-up TCP/IP stack by Olaf Barthel. To be included with os4 and to be available in a standalone 68k version for OS 3.x.

So no more need to go hunting for Miami keyfiles when OS4 is released ;-).

a small error there =) its not built from the ground up but he did the same as amitcp/miami did and used the BSD stack sources.

4play:

IMO that's building something from the ground up, just using rough building schematics ;-).
