USB WiFi or Ethernet Solution?
« on: May 04, 2014, 12:59:53 PM »
Hi folks,

A lightning strike destroyed one of my routers & the ethernet ports of everything connected to it! Funnily enough, the effected computers still work almost perfectly, but ethernet is dead on all of them. Thank god none of my Amigas were connected to that router! The PC was easy as installing a cheap ethernet card, but below is my problem:

Anyway, now the G4 Mac Mini has no ethernet & I was wondering if there is any readily available USB/WiFi or USB/Ethernet adaptor compatible with MOS?

PZ.

While Poseidon does indeed offer classes for such devices they can AFAIK not be used under MorphOS due to a missing feature in the EHCI-driver.

Once MorphOS3.6 gets released you might get away with useing the "AirPort" driver.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Nope, not registered & even if it was, it doesn't have internal WiFi...

Thanks for the tip though :)
