PAL on an NTSC Monitor

Hi All, Most of my games and demos are displayed on PAL screens. My NEC Accusync can display
PAL screens but not in the correct configuration. The Bottom is cut off. Even if I start my Amiga
in PAL and I am using a PAL display mode which gives me a full view. Whenever I start a game or demo
the screen always reverts to a too long to display PAL image. Is there some fix I can use to get them
to display correctly? Or do I just need to switch to a PAL Monitor?

You may have to play with the monitor settings once you're in a PAL screenmode. LCDs are a lot less flexible than good ol' CRTs. When used with Amigas, often the LCDs can't detect when a screenmode has changed, or it will autodetect the wrong mode. Either way, the display will be off. Sometimes forcing an auto-adjust on the monitor will clear it up, other times you may need to manually adjust the display settings (position, size, etc.). YMMV, depending on the particular monitor and/or scandoubler you're using.

Your monitor is not auto-adjusting to the Amiga's screenmodes.  With the use of a RGB-to-VGA adapter, the Dell U2410 multiscan monitor will auto-adjust to most, if not all, Amiga screenmodes.  Price of a U2410 - $100 or under.
