HDisk icons load 2x? (winuae)
« on: November 23, 2002, 06:44:17 PM »
Humph! I reinstalled AForever5 and winuae but
still have disk icons load twice and refresh over and over until I F12, disable the extra disk entries and reboot Winuae.  I hope I overlooked something simple. :-?

Hey, what version of WinUAE are you running?

I don't click on the Add PC Drives At Startup button, instead I go and add each hard disk individually.

If you're running the latest version of WinUAE you need to use usescsi.device and some CDFS to install CD-ROMs.  uaescsis.device is built into WinUAE.

If you're not using the latest then I strongly suggest you get it off WinUAE.net.

I am using 0822R2, but 0822R1 did the same
thing.  I'll check my config after some downloads
-thanks. :-)

This happens when you've activated "add pc drives at startup" and save the config after pressing F12. "Add pc drives" adds the drives to the list, so saving them will save all drives into the config file. Next time the config is loaded "add pc drives" adds the drives again, so you have everything twice.

Either save the config only from the startup window or remove all hard drive entries before saving from the F12 window.

Bye,
Thomas
