A4000D project follow-up
«

Taking several months away from the project was for the best, as I came back to it and was able to correct the issues in about 2 days...
Issues:
XTAL grounding issue.
3640 connector clean.
cleaned/reseated fast RAM.
reseated PALS.
burned new EPROMS, as others were flaky
99% functional at this point and very usable.

Looking good! Very clever using the rear expansion slot for the SD card. Is that a custom bracket holding it in place or were you able to buy something pre-made?

Thanks, I just cut plexiglass, then used a heat gun to soften and molded it into shape. Then I drilled out and dremeled the slot.
Now, if I could just find a flicker fixer, instead of the GBS Chinese converter.

The system has a Gotek drive and when you select a file, save and reboot...it will just hang and you will have to turn the machine off manually and restart. Also, some games seem to not work and it's always fun to figure out if it's a PAL issue or something else. Does the game Drol work on AGA?

Not all games will work on AGA machines. Have you tired an AGA only game like Banshee? If that works without probs it could simply be the game you are trying to run isn't AGA compatible and its not a hardware issue.
Machine looks great form the pics.
