I have no idea how current this info is

The list of current mirrors can always be found on the wiki:

http://wiki.aminet.net/Mirrors

Simply connect to any of these using anonymous FTP and start downloading.

If you want to upload, you need to connect to main.aminet.net, as somebody already pointed out.

All the sites they have do not connect me.

What kind of error message do you get?

Two of the sites connect
but they are not Aminet Sites, One says incorrent logon.

All of the sites listed are Aminet sites. If you can't see the aminet directory tree directly after logging in, go the the "aminet" or "pub/aminet/" directory. They all accept anonymous FTP users (I just verified that), not sure why you'd get an error message when logging in.

se.aminet.net does indeed time out, I'll notify the mirror admin.

May I ask why you insist on using FTP? Please refrain from mass downloads.

Would be nice if they could make ADT work again.

The server is still generating the index files for ADT clients. What does not work is the search function. We rewrote the old search server in python and had it running for a while, but it created all sorts of problems (it's been nearly a decade - but something about our hosting company not liking the non-standard port, IIRC), so we had to shut it down.

This thing needs some updating :)

http://aminet.net/package/misc/unix/adt.c

Heh, forgot about that one. It still compiles, but crashes with a memory access fault on my  linux setup.

Not sure it's worth the effort, though. If someone wants to have a go, be my guest. I might have a slightly updated version lying around that supports passive ftp and (slightly) longer filenames, but most certainly suffers from the same problems these days as the one on Aminet.
