UAE on macintosh help needed.
« on: February 22, 2004, 04:08:28 PM »
So here I am, with a new iBook G4, trying to get UAE to run but no luck so far.. the version of UAE that I got just extracts itself in a folder which only contains the UAE runfile and a FAQ.. and not a very helpful FAQ.

So I wondered if someone could point me to a site that has the latest (or the best) version of UAE to Mac OS X and describe how I get the thing running. I already got kickstart files and the AmigaOS 3.9 CD which I installed just fine under Windows. Now I want to install it on my mac.. :)

First sorry for my poor english.

Uae is not very advanced on Macosx.
There are to date 2 versions :
Maxuae is old, no bsdsocket emulation and no fullscreen.
The last version is one year old.
There is a GUI for that one.

Maxuae & Maxuae Gui

The second version is SDLUae, it's a port of Winuae, for the
moment it's a pre-release, no gui for this one, it's an Unix port of Winuae. Sdluae is available on Linux - Osx - Beos and
AmigaOS. It's a more advanced version as Maxuae, but the configuration is a bit difficult.

SdlUae - Richard Drummond

Hope this help.
