Which VideoCards work with Amithlon?

But be careful with your choice. I bought the fastest GeForce2 card I could find, a Hercules Prophet II. But once I got home I found out that I had only one screenmode when using Amithlon which is the basic one. Later I heard that you really need to use a GeForce II card and not just a card with the GeForce II chipset !!!!

Yea, if thats the case, the card that specifically worked when I tried amithlon was a Jaton Geforce 2 32mb agp card.

I am actually using a GeForce 2 MX 400 that works great! My WB Desktop is set to 1280x1024 @ 32 bits (and 100Hz refresh rate, which is due to the combination between the monitor's maximum allowed refresh rate and that provided by the card). At present the GeForce 2 is the best supported card. I also heard about the GeForce3 and 4 but you'll need Gary's kernels for those to work.

Good luck for your hunt. Hope you'll find it because it's a rather old card: I bought another one just to be sure that if the first breaks, I'll have another one and will be able to continue to use Amithlon.
