What was a file were these are?

min_reflow_period:300
max_fetchers:8

[edit] I found it. What was original values? What kind of testing you want me to do?

I would say I doens't feel faster.

I've one wish, it is cosmetical :) would it be possible to do so that when I click link or type new addres, netsurf window would turn black immediately? Just like when it started? Now I can see google page about 25-30 seconds before nothing happen.

If I come on a secure site, netsurf asks me for SSLROOT. How should I set it ? Does ssl actually work, btw ?

with what site you test ?
I search netsurf dir, ixemul dir there is no sslroot string find.maybe you can tell in snoopdos what task sslroot want.

I dont understand how SSL work.when i use windows browsers, i get error that the ssl certificate is outdate.but later the shtml string is change to html string

Netsurf asks for a rootdir on every secure page. Test with google (default page set), click on gmail. Netsurf system req. pops up asking you: 'Please insert volume SSLROOT in any drive. What every you click next, netsurf always complains: "unable to fetch document".

Another bug is when the program sometimes writes the window width & height to the options file. The width & height are then being changed (from 800x600) to 76025256 or something similar. Looks like an signed/unsigned problem.

Snoopdos says:

1     Netsurf            Open       env:SDL_NOLOWERTASKPRI      Read    Fail
2     Netsurf            Open       PROGDIR:Resources/throbber/ Read    OK
3     Netsurf            Open       PROGDIR:Resources/Navigatio Read    OK
4     Netsurf            Open       PROGDIR:Resources/Navigatio Read    OK

Thats because I updated openssl which requires certificates in SSLROOT.
You can download it from here http://amiga.sourceforge.net/OpenSSL/ .

Https pages doesn't work for me but maybe for you?

maybe can ask the dev on this page of openssl, if he get netsurf working.maybe he understand more from this.
when netsurf need the sslroot then openssl 1.0 need download.it can work with ixemul and libnix, but if it maybe not work for you, maybe you test a non beta version.maybe the 0.9.61 for ixemul only if that work better

also maybe somebody know where can get 0.9.7m openssl version. In the OWB 1.6 docu stand that opensll work with that.

No, even if i set sslroot to the certs dir, it still doesn't work. Does anyone know if netsurf (on linux, risc or os4) works with secure pages ?

with older openssl lib netsurf give a error out cant resolve page.but with this openssl1.0 version netsurf give no error out.but log show a 302 error.what 302 is can read here

http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec10.html

maybe wait for the windows version, so can compare more easy whats a general netsurf problem or is a amiga port only problem

when look on logout of
netsurf -v
i get this, so https is init.but a the google Mail page is not show

I've just downloaded NetSurf V1.8 from Aminet, but it doesn't seem to be a s stable as V1.7. I also get two windows when I run it - the NetSurf Window and an "Output" window - which doesn't seem to do anything. What version should we be running 1.7 or 1.8?

That's because in the icon info, netsurf is started from the shell.

Choose icon info from the Workbench menu, goto the icon tab, and change it in "start from workbench". Then it will start without an output window.

@Artur

Thanks for the 1.8 release.

I've read over here http://www.netsurf-browser.org/documentation/progress#NSF that netsurf indeed supports https, so this problem is only in the a68k version. Maybe this can be put on the todo list.
