The Warpzone BBS is back online!
« on: November 30, 2005, 07:39:55 AM »
The Warpzone BBS is finally back online!  It is exactly how it was when it went down when we switched from cable to DSL.  Sorry for delay!

The Warpzone BBS runs on a real Amiga 2000 computer with CNet Amiga BBS software and is configured (and capable) of handling 10 users online at once.

It has chat areas, online games (more to come soon) and message areas.

To access it, telnet to "warpzone.thebbs.org", or use the following URL:

telnet://warpzone.thebbs.org

Thanks,

Neofree

Sorry about that. I've been meaning to find a way to reduce the questions but haven't had a chance yet.  Some of them I do not think can be removed.

You could trim it down quite a bit back in the CNet/3 days.  Does CNet/5 come with instructions?
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

Well, sorry it was so short lived...

But I've decided to take The Warpzone BBS down permanently. After months of waiting to just simply reconfigure it for DSL, I realized that it still needs a lot of work to be a decent BBS and even then there doesn't seem to be much interest for it anymore. The deciding factor though is I need some more X-Mas money so it has to go. The Amiga 2000 computer and the X-Surf ethernet card are now both on eBay. See the link below if interested. CommodoreTalk.com has effectively replaced The Warpzone and has already gotten off to a better start.
