Title: The ultimate mouse
Post by: motrucker on October 03, 2013, 02:48:29 PM
I use a windows machine for gaming FPS. To this end, I just bought a new mouse that has amazed me. This is a Mad Catz RAT 3 wired mouse..
The version 5 or 7 may be better, but the RAT 3 is what I could afford. I am still amazed! I have never used a faster mouse, or a more comfortable mouse. This thing is incredible. Wish I had bought one back when they came out.
If you play fast moving FPS in Windows, check out this mouse!  It also works with Macs.

Holy crap!  That thing looks insane!  How does it feel workmanship wise?  I've used madd catz peripherals for years and some of them didn't last long.  :(

I'm hoping your mouse does not fall into that category...

I bought a Razer Diamondback 3G but the noise produced when clicking is awfull so I ditch it for a logitech G500.
dont forget that the mousepad has also a significent influence !

This thing seems to be well built - some metal, some plastic. It fits my hand better than most mice. Ans the buttons are placed better than usual - easy to get to, but no unwanted clicks.
About two years ago I was after one of these, but got talked into a Razor instead. The Razor was OK (just) but this is much better.
The RAT 3 is quiet (almost silent) and glides smoothly.

I've given up on mice, a track pad is so much easier.
